Weight Does Not Matter!

Often when I drop by in the McDonald's to grab a chocolate sundae to satisfy the crave for ice cream, in most cases, I complain about the size of the sundae given to me. I don't know but it's just me. I tend to point straight to the posters of the sundae and tell these McD people at the face that the amount of vanilla and chocolate filling the cup is not as I've expected. It's obviously different from what's been shown in the ad posters. It shows the vanilla sticking out from the top of the cup.

"This is intentionally misleading," that would be my usual first sentence to express my dissatisfaction. C'mon, I'm not being mean here, as I don't demand for extra vanilla and chocolate and specifically, with vanilla filling the whole cup with the top sticking out from the cup. What I'm seeing in the poster is what I'm expecting. I don't mind if it's not full enough but please don't give me those nonsense such as "standard" weight. I don't need these people to tell me what's their determined weight of a sundae. Coz I don't see any weight mentioned in the ad posters. You're expecting me to accept the 3/5 sundae filled cup and convince me by putting it on the weighing machine, saying it's the standard weight and Mr. Manager, that's ridiculous! Go and buy a big mac with a piece of the bread or cheese missing and it's still the same weight. All I see is the poster with only the picture of the sundae and the price of it. I don't need it to be exactly the same as what I've seen. But don't give me nonsense with those 3/5 sundae filled cups.

Kudos to Mid Valley Megamall's (LG) McDonald's for the best sundae I've ever seen for quite some time. See... The cup is fully filled and see the top of the vanilla. Yum yum... Well done! To the other outlet managers and their beloved workers, especially from the Bangsar and some other Klang Valley outlets, stop giving me nonsense of the standard weight and give me vanilla and chocolate fudge. Wake up and learn what's the lesson of meeting customers' expectations. Failure to do so is such an embarrassment to the golden arch brand. And I believe it should start from the head, Mr. Manager. Get your stuff right.

Thursday Night Outing

Got an MSN message from Cecilia last week, informing me about an outing planned with some AIESECers from TBS. They're going to the Loft, Heritage Row. I thought to myself, "Great, since I haven't been hanging out at clubs for quite a long time." So, there we went on that very Thursday night. While on the way there, or actually on the way to the parking in front of Maison, met with Randy and Dennis. They're going to the Maison to celebrate Nick's birthday. Anyway, Dennis and Nick are my primary school buddies. Knowing that, I promised to drop by after I've hung out with the group in Loft.

..."Look at the camera!"

An hour later, we headed down to the Maison to meet with my primary school buddies.

We stayed at the Maison until about 2am where Christine and I had to call it off as she's to work the next day. Really enjoyed ourselves. It's funny that we seldom hang out at clubs in KL but we did at two different clubs on the same night.

Happy 21st birthday, Nick!

God bless.

Redang Island Trip

There were many previous trips that I couldn't join these beloved course mates of mine simply because I was too tied up with AIESEC activities or some other agendas. But this time, finally, I made it guys! So we went to Redang Island on the 25th - 28th June 2007. We stayed in the Redang Beach Resort. Nice place.

Here are some of the pictures taken from my camera (How I wish I had a water-proof camera, then I would not have missed the snorkeling photos...) :

...while waiting for departure at the airport.

...Some time for a snap of photo.

...the next day. We actually put up a night in Kuala Terengganu before leaving to Redang Island when we arrived in the state.

...where is the van that will bring us to the jetty?...

...Cheese!

...on the ferry to Redang Island.

Nice view...

...while waiting to check in. Rooms are not available yet.

...the wave was strong on the day of our arrival = fun at the sea!

...first morning and we're waiting to view sunrise. :D

...where's the sun? I see light.

..C'mon, where's the sun?

...Aiks, the sky is getting brighter?...

...Okay, the sun hides behind the clouds. Tough luck! Waste our effort waking up early. Humph!

...One nice lizard. Looks like little dino to me.

....Just posing. Nothing behind the bamboo plants except some crickets.

...Christine baby smiling for camera on the last day.

...the infamous More More Tea!

...a nice view of the beach in front of Redang Beach Resort.

...ready to leave the resort. Waiting for the boat to arrive...

...leaving on the boat...

..another shot...

...again, we smile for the camera...

...the sea looks like the water in the swimming pool to me...

...Bye bye Redang Island!

...in the ferry while on the way back to Kuala Terengganu.

...One of the mosques in Kuala Terengganu.

...while doing some shopping in the KualaTerengganu's Central Market.

...these ladies are busy reading newspapers at night while waiting for the bus to go back to Kuala Lumpur.

Really had fun! And the post trip was bad... Terribly sun burnt and skin is peeling out. Nonetheless, it was a memorable trip and a fun one.

God bless.

Dawning

I'm not sure if I'm ready. It's still early...

Once I've decided if it's what I want, I'll try my best.

...and that will be the dawn of the new campaign.

God bless.
